Second Caspian and Central asia oil trading and logistics forum

When routes, prices and rules keep changing, how can you build a durable trade strategy? How can you win the long game?

These are just two of the questions my exceptional panel of experts tackled last week when I had the privilege of moderating a fascinating discussion at the second Caspian and Central Asia Oil Trading and Logistics Forum, held in Baku, Azerbaijan.

We discussed the Trans-Caspian pipeline, the shallowing of the Caspian Sea, corridor capacity and shipping viability, southern oil routing through Afghanistan to the Pakistani coast, the UAP railway corridor and much more. It was an engaging and enlightening afternoon.

My sincere thanks go to my panel of experts, Assylbek Jakiev, Askar Ismailov, Rufat Gambarov, Anar Khabib and Rustam Nurbaev, each of whom is a master of their craft and a pioneer in the Middle Corridor trade sector.

I would also like to thank the organisers of the conference, Glenmar, for creating such a thought-provoking and stimulating event. My special thanks must go to Sergey Revin and Marina Revina for championing the occasion, without whose vision it would not have been possible. Thank you also to Darya Jafarli and Nurana Mammadova for your exceptional professionalism.
